Brows – such a small part of our body, it might seem that they do not raise any emotions. Meanwhile, they are – right after eyelashes and hair – one of the most important elements determining the beauty. Eyebrows are a frame for the whole face – they are the decor or ornament and beautifully enhance the eyes. No wonder that women want to know as much as possible about them and keep a close eye on any news regarding eyebrow cosmetics.

So small yet so numerous: There are about 250 to 1100 hairs on an average person’s brow arch! Brow removal (epilation, threading, plucking) in this second (extreme) case can be a bit onerous. What’s more: when plucking the eyebrows, it’s better to be patient and extremely careful, because if you happen to overdo it and pluck too many hairs – they will not grow back too quickly. They need about 6 months or more! In this case, you can reach for the “liquid rescue” – an eyelash serum. Its effect is phenomenal: eyelash serum will not only contribute to brow regrowth (several weeks) but it will also nourish and regenerate them, preventing their loss.

The fact that they are important and beautify the face was already known to many people centuries ago: the Egyptians and Indians darkened their eyebrows, while in the eighteenth-century America colonizers attached…mouse fur to their eyebrows, this way they gained a more dangerous and serious appearance.

What is more, eyebrows allow us to recognize the particular person. Research of the University of Technology in Massachusetts has shown that it is extremely difficult for us to recognize the faces of even our close relatives if we remove eyebrows from their faces. Their primary, most important function is to protect the eyes from moisture. The arched shape and arrangement of the eyebrows are to prevent water getting into the eyes, for instance, during rainfall.

Throughout the entire era of silent cinema and until the mid-1950s, thick eyebrows were unattractive. Women plucked and shaved them off to sketch only parts creating a thin and delicate outline. Today, this shape is becoming a thing of the past, and thick and, above all, nourished and regenerated eyebrows are on point.

In the past, the only eyebrow cosmetic available was a colourless gel and an eyebrow pencil in dark shades. Today, we can choose among a variety of different products: from coloured pencils, unusual graphite, through shadows, powders and waxes to pomades and eyebrow dyes. The ultimate winner of the eyebrow care products is undeniably an eyelash serumits tremendous action saved numbers of women and improved the appearance of many eyebrows.
